In the past I have saved MP3 to Drive, shared and embed with a gadget (by URL) from

Simple and clean, and it appears to still work. Process for using it is described here.

Soundcloud and AudioBoo

posted Mar 28, 2013, 12:47 AM by Lucie deLaBruere

Both SoundCloud and Audio Boo make it easy to capture from a mobile device.
One of the things I like about SoundCloud is that it does have privacy settings, while I have not found those on Audio Boo yet.
AudioBoo only lets you upload 3 minutes of audio at a time.

Like many Web 2.0 tools, the terms of service make this less of an option for kids under 13 to have their own accounts.  But teacher's have set up and supervised classroom accounts. I have worked with teachers who have a station or mobiel device available for students to add to Audio Boo

Here is an example of what a SoundCloud  file looks like embedded in Google Site
(music I recorded with my phone at a concert - arranged by one of my musical son's ;-)

One of my favorite AudioBoo of all times is this clip that Wes Fryer used to capture a just in time reflection

Embedding Audio in Google Site

Embed Audio

What happend to Google Audio Player Gadget?  ;-(

I've been playing with different methods to embed Audio (mp3) into a Google Site since the disappearance of the Google Audio Player Gadget.

I've discovered a Gadget which seem to work in Safari, Firefox, and Chrome (as of today 3/27/2013)
This seems to work with mp3's you attach as a file at the bottom of this page.
I did not seem to work with mp3's hosted online elsewhere.

Embed Music

1. Attach your mp3 file at the bottom of your Google Site Page.

3. Copy Link Address
4.  Edit Page
5.  Insert Gadget
6. Look for EMBED MUSIC Gadget
7. PASTE the Copied Link Address to your MP3 in the Properties of the Gadget
8. Set other options as desired
9. Save  changes to the Gadget
10. Save the Google Site Page

The link Address to my mp3 below looks like this (note it does not end in mp3, but it is an mp3 file)
